I wish someone would burn an .iso of the Maxima manuals and make it available. I even have a site to dump it on.

210.00 is insane.

And the real killer is that the ESM doesn't look any different from the manual I had with my 89.

I have the ESM and while it is expensive and not at all different from the 89 FSM, it is still a very good reference. I can't see why anyone would want to just give away something that cost them that much money. I know I'm not willing to. I would like to and maybe if it cost less I would, but $210 is a lot to swallow to help others, no offense.

I agree and of course there are some benefits to having it electronically as you can search, etc. Regardless, for this kind of money I would have expected an electronic version of the shop manuals. Many years ago I paid nearly the same amount ($180 in that case) for Volvo manuals, but in that case they gave me the factory shop manuals. $+200 is just too much given that it costs less for to distribute.

It is called Intellectual Property. Although I am by no means innocent, it is understandable that there is not a huge market for this ESM and it cost a lot of hours to create it thus the huge charge. Kind of like college text books vs. fiction.
