2004 Maxima SE Pics from Detroit Auto Show by motorvate.ca

Want to see the inside of the 2004 Maxima? How about that "Sky Roof"?

Drop by www.motorvate.ca and click on "Autoshows", Detroit 2003-2004 Maxima SE" to see my comments and pictures. (interior and exterior, twelve pics in all )

The car looks great in person. Very nice lines. Here is a sample picture:

Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words. I use a Sony TRV-11 digital camcorder to take the pics. It is only 640 x 480, but that is more than enough for the web.

I am glad you like the pictures. I use a 2 year old Sony TRV-11 digital camcorder in a still mode, with the picture being saved on a memory stick. It is onky 640 x 480, but that is more than enough for the web.

If you every get a chance to go the Detroit Car show, go. It is awesome!

(There is a good chance I will also be going to the Chicago Car show. I hope Nissan brings out some more new products!)

MaxVQ I live in the Metro Detroit area and I saw the '04 Max at Cobo yestetrday up close (along w/ some other cool cars), the car is already starting to grow on me. They had an SL and the SE like the one in your pic on display & sat in both of them, very comfy. The leather seems to be of high quality but there is a small hint of cheapness to the plastics used. At first I thought the front grille looked like something designed by Black & Decker & Kitchenaid, but I've actually gotten a closer look in person & it looks really nice. Even the SE's rear 2 seats look cool, but the new Skyview roof doesn't appeal to me much. IMO Nissan really should've used those resources intended for the Skyview roof on better interior plastics.

OT but while I was at Cobo I also checked out the Infiniti lineup, both the 2 & 4 door versions of the G-35 I like, even cranked up the Bose in the $-door, kick-a$$ system for a stock setup. I even saw the upcoming FX-35 & 45, that's sweet-looking itself (20" wheels std. on the FX-45 - stock!!). The new Madza 6's are cool-looking too, even w/ the aero pacakges. I also saw the upcoming Mustang & Pontiac GTO (bad-a$$ rides themselves). Also saw the Germans (Audi, Benz, Porsche, BMW, etc..) nice but kinda outta my price range. I'll prob. post pics of the cars I saw coming soon.

Now that I've seen the Black & Tan interior treatment, I'm not so sure that I'd be willing to consider that option. Maybe the color coordination of the car needs to be re-engineered. I particularly don't like the fact that some of the '02s had this fault... light cloth seats, light dash, and then a black steering wheel... what were they thinking? Consistency with the color scheme with some slight accents would look so much better.

Wht98SE:
When you see the car in person, it looks much better than any photo.

My main reason for going to Detroit was to see the Maxima and take pics, which I did. I also to a few other pictures (495 in total!) of all the other cool stuff you mention, like the FX45 and the 2005 Mustang.

I will be posting them on www.motorvate.ca after I publish "how to change your alternator", and "Underdrive Pulley: How much harder is your alternator working"

Take Care!

Amen. Are you as good with fiberglass and polymer fabrication as you are with Photoshop? If so, I'll order up my 04 next week and have it delivered to you to make it look like that (minus the chromies).
