Test Drive

Holy Cow, gotta say, it has to be one of the better engines maxima has put out. Very smooth and quiet. I drove the 5 sp SE automatic, they didnt have the 6 spd Manual version...but still was fun to see that car jump from 4 miles to 5 miles as i drove around =)

Transmission felt pretty good, easy shifts and not too much delay. The Triptronic (drive by wire) is pretty cool although its doesnt replace manuals, but does give your right hand something to do cept..get you "excited"

Inside is hella plush. Dvd screen is right up in your face. Everything is so damn cool. only disappointment in the interior was the Mohawk style sunroof. Its kinda small =X and looks cheezy from inside. Every had nice wood trim (although kinda made me feel old) Leather felt nice and neat.. and that heating feature for the seat is kinda cool but useless in california.

I even liked the Sunshade for the back. it has the hugest trunk space i have ever seen =X you can fit a cow in there and still have room. Power tilt steering wheel..seats, windows and all that good junk.

Now the exterior.. the front grill looks okay..im sure someone is gonna make a body kit and make me happy, but the wear .. kinda reminds me of the previous altima before the model change. But who really cares.. 265 horses yo.. and if you floor it .. ooooooooh man its like your morning ****.. just feels so goood =DDDDD .. Motor trend reported heavy torque steer.. but i didnt feel that much of it.. i kinda like it.

Gotta give this car 8 of 10 atleast~!!!!
and its the best bang for your buck in it's class. Fully loaded with elite package is 33 and change. However they did have a mark up for 3k. i told them .. XXX dealer doesnt have that, and they removed that mighty quick.

GO CHECK IT OUT~!!!! ITS AT YOUR NEAREST NISSAN DEALER~!!!!!!!

Well we have 2 Nissan dealers in my area and neither of them had a 2004 Maxima. Probably because there are lots of 2003 Maxima's on the lot and the dealers aren't advertising big rebates on the 2003 either...

They have made it to Upsate, SC

My local dealer, Benson Nissan, has 4 Maximas in stock right now. The new Maxima is very very nice looking IMO. And the interior is much better than I had expected.

Well, I stopped by my local dealer and test drove the 04. The only thing I think I like about it is the availability of the tiptronic style auto tranny. Styling-wise, I am glad I got my Sheer Silver 03 SE. When I got back from my test drive, there was a salesman showing MY CAR to customers! LOL. Of course I had just got done putting on 3 coats of wax. I also drove a 350Z Track Edition. Now THAT was fun
