My personal impressions

My personal impressions
After going to the Auto Show and merely ogling the 2004 Max, the time came for me to take a closer look at it.
Color: Spirited Bronze
Interior: Beige
Designation: 3.5 SE
This particular specimen was loaded to the gills with the exception of the Skyview roof (Thank God!).
Exterior Impressions:
I like the rear lines of the car, but the front definitely needs to have a change because it looks too much like an Altima. If i were to consider buying one, it would definitely get a mesh grille. I also liked the hi-beam Xenons on the '04
Interior Impressions:
Overall, I was impressed with the interior of the '04. The leg and headroom were to my liking. Even a person of my stature was able to easily find a comfortable position in this vehicle. Another touch was the power adjustable steering wheel with telescoping feature (About time, Nissan!). I also liked the power folding mirrors.
The controls were ergonomic and pretty logically laid out with the exception of the heated seat control. It took me a bit to figure out where it was.
The aesthetics of the dash flow rather nicely even with the navigation system.
Driving impressions will come this evening.

I finally drove the vehicle (on streets only) and noticed that it has more torque at the lower end than my '02. Turns out that the cams are slightly different than the '02 variant (gave me an idea for an engine mod, though). It does give you the "pin you to your seat" feel. However, the car seems better damped than the previous versions because of the independent rear suspension. I also noticed that it exhibited slightly less body roll than the A33 variant it replaces.
Highway impressions forthcoming.
