What Production Number is your Max?

For kicks...look at the last 4-5 digits of your VIN. That is the sequential numbering that indicates what number your car was coming off the line. Mine is ..803424, meaning "8"= Maxima line and the 03424 is number 3,424 in production. Running at about 200-300 per day on average, that means mine was built about 10 days after launch.

Interested to see who has a Max closest to number 00001 on the forum!

Today (and tomorrow, I hope) I'm driving my neighbors Plant car (he's an engineer at the plant; don't know what else to call it) and it is number 91! It is the radiant ember with burnt orange and 6 speed...just like the press photos. Had to be built on the first day, as they started out building about 150-200 per day. He's had about 4 or 5 different models.

I should have asked people to post their location. I'm in Murfreesboro, about 15 miles from the plant.

You guys with the SE 6 speed...how are you adapting to the torque steer or whatever it is that is going on under full throttle? Something has got to be done about that...perhaps limited slip would help? I don't know if our SL does that or not...being in the "break-in" period, I've been gentle.

Anyway...thanks for the posts...I think this is interesting.

I'm in CT, but the dealer had to go to some "port" (meaning somewhere where cars were stored) to get what i wanted (i think it was in NY cuz the car had to be driven 70 miles to get here). I'm still really loving this car - and it's been almost a month.
