no ashtray in 2k4 model

Hi Guys ! I ve just bought a 2K4 max . ! Wouhaa!

Little technical problem : I smoke ! Well you guys are gonna tell me to quit. That I know ! my question is , as there is no ashtray in this modern car ! , does any one know of a solution, like did Nissan
thik about givin or selling an "external " ashtray to be fixed somewhere, well hiden, not far away from steering wheel ???

How did you guys , smokers, deal with that inconvenient ?

Cheers

Quit

Actually, you can usually buy ashtrays at auto parts stores that fit in one of the cup holders.

I quit two years ago this coming June! having a wife with cancer helps make the decision for you But she is all cured now

Actually, ashtrays are becoming no cost OPTIONS on many new cars. Car makes are doing away with them.

sure it is. I am fat and I used to smoke, I know both sides

I would never not smoke in my car when I smoked. I would keep the windows down and empty the ashtray daily, but never went with out.

I love eating, and I love eating in my car. I do it in this one as I did the others before it.

The analogy hold true, and everything I do is iteligant (for those less intuitive than most, that is a joke btw)

The Altima doesn't have an ashtray either. I wonder how long it will be before this spreads to all Nissan cars...

Just think, all that money saved by quitting can be put to mods (when they come out)!

There's no included ashtray w/my 2K2 either. Not that I care. I've never smoked in my life. I think Nissan has an optional insert for my model the replaces the little felt lined pocket next to cig lighter.

This must be why smokers just flip their butts out the window, littering up the streets. As for you smokers, now you know another reason why we are affected by your nasty habit.

Ask your dealer about adding the smoker's package to your car...I bet they can do it right there...probably just a simple insert in one of the bins and a replacement power socket for the lighter.

Yes, I hear it includes a oxygen supply and a dash plug-in socket so those smokers who have already developed emphysema can still drive.

This option is available for the 2k2-2k3 but I do not think it is available with the 2k4. Another alternative is to buy the Xterra kit that fits into one of the cupholders...At least, this is what the dealer told me today when I asked about an ashtry.
