Based on what I have read, no it doesn't boost performance. It will reduce knock and make your engine run smoother, IF your engine knocks with a lower octane gas. If it doesn't, then it won't do anything.

I already knew that...but then I wonder why Audi S4 people insist on using higher octane fuel....turbo?
