growing on to me 2k4

I dunno what it is but im beginning to really like the new 2k4 maxima. I know the grille is hideous but didnt we also hate the 4x4 look on the 4th gen. Maybe the kick *** commercial nissan just made about the guy touching dropped his oranges and touched the parked maxima and just suddenly felt that huge adrenaline rush made me suddenly like new max. I hope there is gonna be alot of aftermarket support for the 6th gen.

It's beginning to grow on me too. But as always I doubt there'll be significant aftermarket support other than the dedicated maxima companies. Who knows ? ?

after nissan sent me a bunch of those professionally taken 6th gen pictures, i thought it isn't TAT bad. gettin fully loaded SE + 18" alloy wheels and digital BOSE system etc. all tat max need is probably a bit of drop, intake and exhaust with some strutbars, it should look nice already.

I'll agree that it's certainly growing on me as well. Just for the fun of it, I test drove one last week. It felt like it had a lot of power. This particular one didn't have the navi system in it, but the digital bose, well, digital EVERYTHING was very impressive. I kinda like the interior layout as well. The car was fun to drive.

Maybe someone will put together a replacement grill kit for it. The car looks good but I hate the grill as it is now.

sprinty, what's your opinion on the 2k4. I've yet to hear you thrash it.

honestly.. i like it.. it looks like it takes well to large wheels and it looks good tinted.. i saw one at night and the projectors like the Cadilac CTS were nice with the HID's. I think with a Body kit it would be even hotter..

hey luke.. get to chopping

It's growing on me too.

I really wish Nissan made this car RWD though. I hate front drive cars with lots of power. RWD would be sooo much better balanced.

If the new Maxima was RWD I would have SERIOUS buyers remorse for buying the '03 but since it isn't I could care less. I like my car.

I don't think they would sell any G35s if the Max was RWD.

I was at my Nissan dealer today and I was waiting for my sales guy so I poked around in the 350Z. I think it is very odd that the tac is in the center of the cluster and the speedometer is on the right. Very strange. And I hope they stop putting the seat controls in the middle and on the top of the seats bottoms... that is annoying.

The tach in the center is the best way, because the tach is what really matters.

If you are racing it is, but if you are driving on the highway (especially in an automatic) it really isn't all that useful. Considering that 99% of all the Z's sold will never see a track, it just seems strange to me.
