2004 Sirius or XM Antenna Feedback

Does anyone here have pictures of factory installed Sirius or XM Antenna on a 2004 Maxima?

I wanted to order one with it but was curious on finding out what it would look on a 2004 SE? Feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks!

There are some pics of the XM antenna in this thread. My dealer parked my '04 in the front of their building last Friday before I picked it up. They said the antenna and XM logo generated a lot of questions from people just browsing. No mention of any negative comments.

when it comes down to this, i dont think the looks matter too much, if it bugs you that much, terk has a bunch of aftermarket antennas.....sirius is the way to go!

That's just a regular Terk antenna. I thought they would have some kind of integrated design.

Is the antenna the only thing that you care about when comparing XM to Sirus because XM seems to offer a better selection of channels

In my opinion yes... Sirus has great programming but I do not think they have the longevity of XM.. Why? Well Sirus does not advertise and its ablity to stay alive comes solely on its users. So if the service sucks and they lose alot of their customers you could be SOL. XM on the other hand has commericals (Which I dont mind) but has more channels and a better line up. Commericals give XM the staying power over Sirus.

In my opinion I think Sirius is better than XM in all aspects...programming, quality, commercial free music. I think eventually Sirius is going to take over XM and they might even merge as one.
I researched a lot on which one to go with when I ordered my Maxima and I had no doubts at all before i made my decision to go w/ it. XM is good too but its just a tid bit better than FM in my opinion and I have compared both side by side.
Just my 2 cents...

sirrius has commericial free music, but it still does have commercials on some of its stations(non music channels), in terms of sound quality its better than XM also. another thing is that sirius has 3 satelites that are constantly in motion where XM has two satelites that remain stationary(one on the east coast and another on the west)

Re: 2004 Sirius or XM Antenna Feedback

I used to have XM Now I have Sirius.

Both have 100 channels. (Unless you count playboy on xm $2.00 more a month but its makes 101 channels. I dont count it.)
Sirius is $12.95 XM $9.99

--Sirius has 60 music 40 talk, news and entertainment
All 100% commercial free all done by sirius

--XM 72 music 28 talk, news and entertainment
32 commercial free, 30 with commercials, 6 of these are FM (yes I said FM satations) Broadcasts, one is a MTV broadcast, one is a VH1 Broadcast.

--Siriuss 40 and XM 29 talk, news and entertainment channels have commercials there are many simmalitaries between these and a few differences. Sirius has NPR XM has Nascar.

--Having had both XM sounds more like a radio station and Sirius just plays music. XMs DJ do those radio voices (I hate those) Sirius folks just play music with no stupid stick.

If you want music I'd suggest Sirius hands down. There music channels are done better they sound more like CD and with no commercials. Thats why I switched.

Sirius is the best thing that has happed to the car since the CD.
