Elite Pkg ?'s

Has anyone found that the console between the two rear bucket seats is a pain? Not just for passenger room but for day to day use...packages, etc.... I really don't think that three adults would fit comfortably on the bench seat (maybe three kids) but we don't have kids. I just wondering if the console ends up being a pain.

Also, has anyone looked closely at the mechanics of the sun-shade? Does it look like something that will be problem prone? I'm not familiar with Nissan so I have no experience with reliability of these types of components. It looks as though the shade projects up and towards the driver with nothing supporting the leading edge (track, rollers, etc...). Can anyone see the shade beginning to drop or fall away from the window with wear and tear (bounces, rough roads)?

Also, does anyone know if the dual-zone climate control use both the heater and the air conditioning unit when required (68 on one side, 75 on the other)? How does it work?

Thanks for any help

I love the console in the back, great for my kids to put stuff in. (I have 2 kids, so it's perfect for us).
There aren't that many bench seats in any car, other than the huge luxury sedans, that would ever fit 3 adults comfortably. My friends love the buckets in the back.

I don't put packages or anything else in the back, anyway, always in the trunk. Don't need to get extra dirt or whatever on the seats and carpeting.

The only downside that I see to the elite package is not being able to put the seats down. For me that is an issue, for others it isn't. The one I checked out seemed to be well built though.

If it's practical for you to have a 4 seater, go for it! I don't have kids (but I have a dog... I just use my dad's Subaru wagon when I have to take him somewhere heh) and I rarely ever have 4 other friends with me, so the Elite Package was the perfect option for me.

The sun shade? I haven't really looked too closely at it, but it works just fine for me. I actually use it more at night when there's a semi truck behind me.

The rear console has some advantages and some obvious disadvantages. Basically, rear seat passengers seem to really like it.

When the rear sunshade is up, it presses against the top of the window which gives it support. I like to use it if I'm parked in the sun along with a folding sunshade for the windshield. Seems to keep the car from getting real hot.

I tried setting one side of the dual-zone climate control at 60 and the other at 90 and, sure enough, it pumped A/C out one side and heat out the other.
