Questions for 5spd owners

What is the MAX mph that you can downshift into second at both auto and manually shifting? The 4spd guys say 62mph and 70mph manually.

Also, what mph are your shift points?

Thanks.

I will see if I can find out for you, I really don't know. I can say that I have never tried to jam it into 2nd at 60 or above.

The novelty really has worn off on the manumatic, I barely use it. I do use it when I am bored though

I'm betting the 5spd eliminates most of the lag between 70-90mph when the 4spd is stuck in a short third gear.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Owners' Manual tells you your shiftpoints, so if you wouldn't mind posting those, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I am way too lazy to go get my Manual out of the garage, there is a PDF version floating around on Nissan's website somewhere.

The fastest I could down shift to seconds was 55

I don't really feel any lag, it is really geared pretty well

Manually or by flooring it?

BTW, thanks!
