Rear deck speaker rattle

Was anybody able to fix that annoying rattle coming from the brake light vibrating against the rear window? I'm looking for a quick remedy without taking it back to the dealer.

Thanks.

Quick fix in my case was cutting up a grey sock that matched the interior colour. I made a couple small strips, rolled them up, and tucked them in on either side of the brake light. Works like a charm till I take it back to the dealer next month for an oil chance and to get any other small items fixed.

Hope that helps.

I brought it in to my dealer and they had to tighten the deck lid and added some foam under it for support (obviously not visible) .. but the rattling is gone. had that done over a month ago and no problem since

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will head back to the dealer this weekend.

I think you'd be surprised to find out that many of the "rear" rattles are actually the license plate assembly and not the speaker or window shade.

I hear ya...but in my case, it's the center brake light vibrating on the inside of the rear window.

Now I have a rattle just inside the front skylight. Centered on the passenger side just and inch or two inside. Grrrrrrr. The problem is the car is so nice and quiet inside that I hear all the tiny rattles down a bumpy road.

CM.
