As title.

Which oil would you perfer when you change the oil. I konw that Nissan Dealer changes Castro and suggest me change for every 3500 mile. How about Mobile 1? would it be longer or just keep it in every 3000 mile?

Nissan recommends every 3750 miles.

I don't really have an opinion on the oil, although I would go with Castrol over Castro, besides, I don't know if Fidel is willing to give up his lube..

Not sure which is better...but was thinking of going synth. Any opinion on synthetic oils? How long can you go without an oil change with the synth?

I use Mobil 1 in my car, and plan to in my Maxima. In my truck I run Castrol Syntec blend, or whatever that stuff is. I personnally think they are both good oils, if you don't want to pay 4-5 bucks a quart for mobil 1 then there really isn't problem with Castrol.

I've heard all kinds of things as far as milege go. Like Synth's can go for 15000 miles and all kinds of that stuff. Personnally, I would never go more then 5000 miles on any oil. And even those miles would have to be mostly freeway. I'm a big believer still in the standard 3000 mile changes. I'd rather have my oil come out with some wear left in it, then have it completly flooded with debris and worn out. Whats a few bucks when it comes to a new car?

Exactly. Problem with the synth is once you use it, there's no going back. Mobil or Castro will do just fine.

I disagree about the "no going back" after once using synth oil. anyone have any hard facts concerning this?? Castrol is a blended synth with natural oil, how does this square?
