I do know the older 93 pathfinder airfilter fits the 04 maxima. I own both, so why would'nt the altima filters fit? they look like they use the same system, anyway Courtesyparts.com list the 04 K&N filter

I got the very first JWT POP intake for the Maxima. Mossy Nissan had it made for me and has it for all now. Also had them make one for my Murano. Very nice HP gains with the JWT in the Max (took like 10-15 mins to install) e-mail Greg Vogel: [GregV@mossy.com]

we just finished out first run of the intake, it's the same basic design as our other intakes, midpipe to replace the stock plastic/accordian section and your choice of a k/n or apexi filter element. They should be back from the powdercoater in the next several days. we will have pictures and dynos asap.

Is that the Mossy in Houston? If so, I'll be paying them a visit!

I decided to wait on getting my FrankenCar intake until other people have theirs and give opinions on them, along with some dynos and 1/4 runs. I saw that nick wolff and others had just put a cone filter onto their MAF so I decided to do the same. Take a look here, down at the very bottom. I have some pics of mine installed. I'm building a bracket for it but the twistie tie is holding up pretty good

Oh, and about the meaness, I like the way mine sounds. Doesn't sound like a ricer too bad, even though you can still tell it's a V6. Definitely gave it more power though.

Jwt makes a cone filter for 00 - 01 maximas. but it fits onto the 04 maxima. the four bolts attach to the MAF adapter. but you need to make a custom mounting bracket. its very simple if you have some tools then you're set. check out my profile and click the link to my car. and you can see for yourself. there isnt an acceleration lag anymore on my car now that i have a filter check it out man

Actually the way Nick has his set-up is the same way I'm planning on doing my intake. The CAI systems are nice in theory but the long twisty tube rob's HP. The shorter intakes are dyno proven to produce more HP then CAI's. I think you'd be really suprised how much cold air the filter received using Nick's system.

Yea, all the intake kits are that you buy from Franken car is a straight pipe of tubing for the mid-pipe, and the same exact filter that me and nick wolff have on our '04's. It's just that someone else did the research, built the bracket, got everything looking pretty, and you pay the extra $200 for it Not me!

Oh, and about the laundry piping, you had to take out that other plastic piping that was down there that connected to stock box right? How far down did it go? I've left both ram air tubes, the one that runs along the top of the radiator and into the side of the box, and I left that lower run that comes out of the fender well that hooked to bottom. I figured they would help ram some extra cooler air in there...

i just cut a piece out on the bottom infront of the fender wall. go to my profile and check the website on page 2. and yes i took out all the stock plastic piping that was attatched to the air box. i couldnt deal with all the excess crap.
