how to get good 60ft times with an auto 04 se?
Yea, I'd say no torque braking. Probably be best to try to find out how much gas you can give it off the line w/o spinning. Quick, half-stab might work best. I thought about maybe holding up the e-brake, let it idle, then stab it and drop the e-brake on the 3rd yellow light. I'll have to try a few different ideas I've got floating around when I finally do go...

Holding the e brake would just be adding a step in the launch process and perhaps lead to slower reaction times (which have nothing to do with 60' times). Check out my posting in the 5th gen forum. That's generally the best way to launch an auto (what I have posted there).Doh! Nevermind...you started the thread over there too!

Limo all the way, can't stand people watching me, kinda like that old Michael Jackson song "I always feel like, somebody's watchin' me!"
Lightly brake torque the car at 900 rpm's
Apply the power slowly so you get a bit of wheelspin, but not too much.
I wouldn't expect you to be able to get 60ft times much better than 2.3 seconds on an automatic with stock tires.

well see i got the new gtech so im gonna try some runs with that first and see what works best... what is the true weight of our cars? on the regi it says 3300 and change, isnt out car 3400 and change so with me in it it would be like 3500 and change?
im scared on this whole launch thing. i have no idea how im gonna launch at the track.. tire presure?? nail it or ease on it? anyone else have info?? especialy on tire presure?? everyday driving and track tire presure?? help help
Don't worry, I'm running tonight so I'll give you all the info you need. Definitely don't nail it, try to find the "breaking" point, where it feels like they are almost about to spin, but not at the same time, if you catch my drift.
