Clocking this car with radar or lidar, is no big deal.
when I get sometime I can tell you guys the true to speed. but my max has to break in first, only at 500+ right know.

Did you wire it into the stock unit? Or is it on a modulator?

My Maxima came prewired with the sat button on the dash unit, which also means the wiring harness runs to the trunk area just under the parcel shelf...The XM or Sirius kit (you specify) consists of the tuner and satellite antenna and some hardware items for the installation....The tuner is installed under parcel shelf and connected to one plug in which is the prewiring done at the factory...The antenna plugs into the tuner also and is placed at the back of the roof if you follow their instructions which I did...It is a clean installation and works and looks fine....If I had it to do over again,,,I might consider putting the antenna on the trunk lid and run the antenna wires straight to tuner under the parcel shelf allowing a little play in the antenna wires for the trunk when it is open....would save some time and I think would look ok...

Topcut,
My Maxima arrived yesterday, with the XM sat. radio. They were suppose to find a blue SL with DPP for me, but the XM radio was not my request. However, not being into radio that much I find the antenna to take away from the clean lines of the roof. So I asked them to order me another car, which they are going to do, but now I have to wait.

At first they said that they might be able to remove it without any damage to the roof, but I don't think that is possible.

My question to you is, how is the antenna installed on the roof, is a hole drilled to anchor it?

The antenna I have is a Clarion Pm-100 (I think that is the number)..The main base is a combination Magnetic and adhesive mount .The Tail of it is with an adhesive..I didnot have to drill any holes..otherwise I would not have done it either....I personally do not think It looks that bad....I love the Sat radio (XM)...no ads..No RAP or Hiphop crap to listen to....But that is just me .....If you donot like the radio,,,Think I would wait for a new car..Seems everytime they start taking things off they mess it up.. Good Luck

That is odd, they claim that you can't add the sat system to the stock radio. Mine had a sticker that said you can't upgrade it to the sat system. It has the SAT button though.

Where is the wire harness in the trunk?

My harness is located under the parcel shelf in the trunk area..You loosen the parcel shelf cover in the trunk....Maybe some Maximas came with the sat button with a harness ..maybe some came with just a sat button,,,it shouldn't be hard to figure out tho....Mine has a tag on the driver side door post stating that it was prewired for Sat radio at the factory....if yours was wired I would assume it would have a similiar tag....The XM kit I got as part of the purhase agreement..part #B8046-CR001....
