getting screwed by nissan

recently took my maxima to the dealership b/c lights went out on the console and i have no running tailights. nissan dealership said they could not help me b/c i have a aftermarket alarm that was tied in with the nissan wires so that voided my warranty. they never found the problem but still charged me the labor. so i asked the dealership how do i get my warranty back and they said i would have to get a brand new body harness. so total price labor and all $6,025.00. sounds like bull**** to me. n e one have advice.

Sounds like something in your alarm system is shorted and blew a fuse.

take it to a different dealer if you can and get a second opinion. If that doesn't work call Nisssan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-NISSAN-1. I recently called them and opened up a file on my 5th gen pinging problem (long, long story) Basically Nissan has to prove that your alarm caused the problem before they void your warranty. Have them put it in writing and when you prove them wrong you can sue them for damages...

my best advice is go back to the installer of the new alarm for payment of $6025.00 and also call your insurance company for a claim
thank you paul
