Do you have to wax it after you remove all the goo and stuff? I have some goo off and I planned to remove em soon but I dont wanna wax until I have a lot of spare time on my hands. Would heating up with a hairdryer help to melt the adhesive and make for easier removal? Just wanderin from the people who have done it.

Hairdryer will definitely help your cause. All you need to do is warm up the glue behind the emblems and then the floss. goo off and wax are a must after de-badging.

Actually I saw something interesting when I was at the dealer with my dad getting the '02's oil changed.

They had about 6 brand spanking new 6th gens sitting towards the back, I say they just got off the truck, maybe a day or 2 ago when we were there. But not a single one of them had any badges on the back.

My dad got confused and thought it was an Altima, even I did for a split second. The no badges threw me off. It looked really nice though. I believe the only badge on the cars was the Nissan badge. So if any Ricer tried to race it all they would know is that it was a Nissan. Cha Ching!

I'm sure there isn't, but are there any holes underneath the Nissan emblem?

Cool! Thanks!

Now to debate if I just want to shave everything and put on the lip spoiler and the emblem (it doesn't have one there now)... or just leave everything off including the lip spoiler.

leave off the lip spoiler...i know i am going to get punished for saying this, but putting on the lip spoiler will make the car look more stock (if that is proper english)...if that is your goal (i assume it is not since you want to shave the trunk), then so be it...but if you want something to distinguish your car, then either leave it off, or get a nice after-market one that you like...

i bought one that looks like the 5th gen maxima spoiler...i have seen spoilers like the g35 for sale...there are nice after market spoilers out there.

Taking off the emblems is a snap!
1) Use a heat gun to soften the adhesive.
2) Use a nylon bone tool or fishing line to seperate the emblems from the adhesive tape.
3) Use your finger to gently roll off the adhesive tape from the car.
4) Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner to remove any residue.
This was the first time I ever did it and it took only 5 minutes with perfect results on my 2004 Maxima. There are absolutely no holes under the Maxima and 3.5 SE emblems, and I left my Nissan logo on so I don't know if there are any holes under there. By guess is probably not. The process is unbelievably easy on a new car. Here's some pictures of my car after the removal. http://www.cardomain.com/id/edify11.
Hope this helps.

I chose to leave the Nissan emblem, I thought it looked too plain without it...
