Excessive A/C discharge

Just curious, has anyone noticed that after parking your 04 Maxima, and you have had the A/C on, that the liquid discharge seems more than normal?

I don't remember seeing this much on my 2001 Taurus that I had.

Just curious.

Are you talking about the condensed water draining under the car? More water draining on the ground means less humidity in the cabin air. I can't think of a down side, unless you're embarrassed by the puddle you leave behind.

Out of all the things I've hear people say they went to the dealer about concerning the 6th gen Max...this is by far the funniest I do understand that this is a new model and 1st year model runs are gonna have issues, but gees guys c'mon...I think the Automotive A/C system has almost been perfected. When all your refridgerant leaks out and your A/C doesn't...then you have an issue...but its just water off condenser. I'm starting to think most of us have never owned cars before...and we wonder why the dealer rips us off. :
Lets get real fellas...but keeps the laughs comin

As long as the discharge is clear and not pusy or bloody its all good. lol

It just means that your A/C is more kickass than the POS a/c you had on your last car. When the A/C discharge stops happening, then you have a problem.

I think I should complain about the carpet in the back wheel wells too. On a dry day after going through a small puddle (from a lawn sprinkler or whatever) when I park the car, the wet carpet still drips a bit. There is a small discharge coming from the back of the car and embarassing me. I'll demand the dealer fixes that too!!!

CM.

Something tells me, that I may have used the wrong words when starting this post.

Discharge was definitely a bad choice for the decription, but we are having fun with it.

Looks like you should be taking your max to the free clinic...cause if there is a discharge...something's not healthy. Is your maxima using Condoms?

It is normal. On real humid days, you will see more and on dryer days less. It just means your A/C is working normal.

I have noticed that the drain on my Max drips first on top of a support frame under the car. I hope this does not lead to corrosion later down the road.

Pardon me sir. Are you bothered by the constant drip, drip, drip of condensation?

Ask your car if it hurts when the discharge drips. Also we must remember not take take car AC for granted. All air conditioners remove a large ammount of water from the air. I am not sure about the humidity in your ae but some ac units remove litres of water per hour. Check out http://www.denso.com.sg/tpl/pdtlineup_car_main.html for info on how you car ac works. Good luck and if it continues get your car a pennicillin perscription.

Hmmm...well thats not good....I hope that dosen't become a comon problem with the 04's. I really think Nissan is making too many different cars in that plant. It really takes aways from the quality.
