Wind Noise @ Highway Speeds

Is anyone getting a whistle noise above 60MPH on the highway?

I use to have a 00 Sentra, and had that problem, they resealed the windshield, but it didnt help and the problem continued.

Eventually I just traded in my sentra for a Maxima.
Sometimes when they redesign these cars they have a few kinks to work out.

Good Luck

I recently had the windsheild resealed because of a leak that was coming in above the drivers side. After they resealed it I cam home and washed it and it still leaked....I called the service manager that day and he said he would order a new seal and take the windshield out and put a new seal in. they did this the day before yesterday but those guys accidently cracked the window taking it out of the car......so they had to order a new windshield. I had them to keep it in there shop an extra day for the new seal to finish drying.

We got the car back yesterday and hope this takes care of the problem.
I was greatly impressed with the local Nissan dealership's service as we did not buy the car there. Reason because they tried to rip me a new one. But it seems there service department is top notch.

The sevrice manager even gave my wife his car to drive while it was being repaired.....great in my book even if it was an altima 2.5 sl.....now she wishes she had gotten leather in the maxima.

I drove the altima and am glad we bought the max. I think the interior of the max greatly surpasses that of the altima. My wife even said the steering wheel feels cheeper in the altima, but it does have a better turning radius. we just whipped in and out of parking spaces. But when you have that awesome traction from those 18's that changes the turning radius.

I have a wind noise on the passenger side. It seems somewhat intermittent - some days its there, others it isn't. It might be related to the wind direction (though at 50 mph, that should dominate and wind vectors), temperature or something.

I have reported it to the dealer so that they can fix it, but will wait until I can have the noise reliably occur before having them do anything.

p.s. In my car, the noise is most noticable at arounf 50 mph...

Where does it seem to be coming from? I just installed a sun roof wind deflector, and now I hear some noise.

I generally notice it at 65mph-75mph. It is like a whistling noise. I thought it was the mirrors so I folded them in but it was still there. I thought because I do not have the wind deflector but that did not make sense. Maybe the extra space between the windsheild & the molding makes it whistle. I am running out of possibilites.

I can't claim whisper quiet but no wind leaks. I think the whole cabin should be dipped in dynamat too damn much road noise/tire noise.

Yes I have it....I posted a message about this a while back. It is coming from the tweeters. Place your hand over the tweeter when you hear it... Took off door panel and found no insulation of any type between the tweeter and the outside of the door.....

Had the dealer look at it. They said yes the problem is there and they also have the same problem with one of the dealers car there. They wanted to work on his car first before they ripped mine apart....haven't heard from them yet. Car will be going back in after the holidays....

Hey fellas. No noise here either. Admittedly, my new MAX isn't as quiet as the 04 Camry I rented a while back...but IT SURE IS PRETTY DAMN CLOSE! Let's face it, Japanese carmakers know what they're doing when it comes to designing cars...agreed?

Whistle noise

I noticed a whistle noise, very low in volume high in pitch. When hvac (fan) blower motor is set to 3 ( 3 bars on display screen ). At stand still doing 60mph it is heard. No whistle is detected at any other blower speeds. Sounds like a electrical whine or duct whistle. Running blower at speed 3 till it goes away.
