There were at least two that installed them and seemed to be pleased. One posted pictures. You could search...oh never mind. Something that turned me off of the frankencar was that it was left up to the customer to figure out how to secure it to the car. Not the MAF end obviously, but the filter end seems to have been intended to flop around under the hood. The guy that posted the pictures had some good shots of the galvanized plumbers strap that he used to tether it to the inner fender. The thought of plumbers strap under the hood makes me nauseous but some don't seem to care.

I am considering adding an intake. I asked my Nissan dealer in Houston (Mossy).they informed me that Nissan has a intake system comming out beg. of the year, same type as they have for the 350z. They told me that adding an a non Nissan intake would void the warranty. I don't know if I believe that, but at the same time if I have my service done there, I don't now if I want to take that chance.

Would you mind posting a picture of your bracket? I'm guessing you didn't use plumbers strap?

There are some pictures, along with the bracket I made to fix the filter to the car, using the wire strips for shelving.

Yeah, that's the stuff I called plumbers strap. I love the look of your **** end with no spoiler. I scraped the Nissan and Maxima 3.5 off of mine but the spoiler needs to go to.

FYI: Suckin' in hot air from the engine compartment makes combustion less efficient. Cold air is more dense, contains more oxygen, improving ignition (power, sometimes mileage). Fitting a high-flow filter into a cold-air induction airbox (OEM) is the way to go if you're looking for top-end performance, but most of the time you lose that low-end grunt (torque), which is what makes for quick launches. Aftermarket filters in a stock airbox may not make for pretty pictures, but gives tangible performance gains.
