Just got back from the track

Went to the track on Friday for the first time in the new max (stock). I rolled there staright from work so I had everything in my car. Never checked the tire pressure and had abouta 1/4 tank of gas. Car is a 5-speed auto. Maybe I'll post slips later but here it is: Weather was about 55 degrees

Best slip
r/t .182
60 2.202
330 6.179
1/8 9.436
mph 75.12
1000 12.176
1/4 14.625
mph 95.32

My best 60' time was 2.197.

thanks man. I'd torque brake at about 1500 rpms and then do the hesitation floor-it method, I was getting it good enough where it would hook right off the line. congrats on the 14.4, I wish I could've gotten times like that. How are you launching? What kind of 60' times you putting down? Now that I have a base line 1/4 time, it's time for some mods. Most likely I'll be ordering this week the injen intake. Maybe that's good for .2-.4 in the 1/4 mile??? Does anyone know about the exhaust system in the 04 max, is there a y-pipe or x pipe and does anyone make it yet?

I ran the 14.3 a while back and went to a new track that had the grand opening that weekend. I did horrible at that track and I was running with the Injen. I couldnt hook up at all, maybe the new track? Or possibly the oem bfg tires. I dont think the injen will ad .2-.4, .1 or maybe .2 at most I would say but I could be wrong.

anytime.. last time i went i torque braked to about 1800 than did the same as u the hesitation floor it method.. in september when i took the car i only got 4 runs in and ran a 14.64 at 95 mph with a 2.18 60ft. but it was in the high 70s and the humidity was about the same so that day i could have ran better.. and thanks the 14.4 was really easy, last time i went to the track i wasnt gonna race my max but i took it and only ran it once since i was gonna tape my brothers runs that day in his acura cl type s.. i ran one time and kind of messed up the launch with wheel hop and ran the 14.4.. i know my car is good for better in 40 or 50 degree weather but its ruff to get to the track. so far yup there is intake injen is good i have that on my 02 spec v.. i would say youll lose about two tenths with just the intake plus a nice sound to it. as for other major mods im not ssure yet. my car is bone *** stock and has to stay that way since its a lease. but hey mid to low 14s bone stock is god enough for me.. i know there are exhausts but there not specific for the max "i would wait for that".. how many times did u run that day? what where your other times?

Also curious about the other times. I know that with my car the launch is were the time is gained or lost. Now that my bfgs have about 24000 miles on em they are doing as good as they were new. Lately ive been spinning hard through first and a lot of second. Launching around 1500 is the best place for me but if I could launch a little higher and keep traction I know I could pull some nice times again. New tires and 19s go on hopefully tommorrow when the car gets outa the body shop and I may run this weekend.
