is the 04 maxima front wheel drive or rear wheel drive?

It's Front Wheel Drive.

 

I thought that the drive wheels were both on the drivers side since it seems to want to pull that way!

 

Actually it is one front wheel and one rear wheel. They like to refer to this as, what are you thinking, you considered a maxima enthusiast and don't know what wheels drive the car. I guess you've never lit up the front tires before

 

Maxima was a rear wheel drive vehicle through 1984, front wheel drive since then. Should have an all-wheel drive option at some point; possibly 2006, but more likely 2008.
