anyone REMOVE the stock SE Spoiler?

I want to install the G-35 rear spoiler on my Maxima, but with the SE Spoiler from the factory it will look like Crap.

Anyone Remove the Stock SE Spoiler yet?? Any hints..

Is it painted under the spoiler? Are their Screws? Glue? ect...

thanks..

why would you remove a part you paid extra to get?

bluefish - I am not the best person to answer this, as I have never removed a spoiler.

I do, however, remember a thread somewhere on this board (within the past week or two) where someone posted that they removed their spoiler from an '04 (to put a larger one on), and there were two screws and, if I remember correctly, two-sided sticky tape holding it.

Also, if I remember correctly, the surface underneath the spoiler was painted, but the poster had to fill the holes and repaint, as his new spoiler was not going to cover the holes.

Maybe a poster who has done this will log on here and confirm.

Maybe it was included in a package he wanted, and there was no way to work around it, or maybe he didn't plan on wanting to replace it?

I drilled 4 holes not just two and the spoiler came with two sided tape. It is not hard to remove the spoiler, but you will have to patch the holes and repaint your trunk.
