If in the next 5 months you are still plagued with problems, you can do what's called the "Failure of conosideration" clause. Return the car back to the dealer, explain the situation and stop making payments to the car.
how about ohio lemon law or bbb autoline

I'm guessing you're in the state of ohio. Well technically you don't even own the car. You said that you leased it? So I don't believe the lemon law applies to you. On the other hand, you might be able to consult with bbb autoline.
I'm a business law major; and we studied this case where this lady leased a car, which ended up having so many problems and she spent so much of her time, she got so mad one day, she drove the car to the dealer and just left it there. Went in, gave them the keys to the car and stopped making payments to the car.
The dealer took her to court. Her claim was simply "Failure of consideration". a failure of consideration is a situation where the basis for a contract ceases to exist or becomes worthless.
The court ruled that since she has been making the car payment on time for 2 years, with 2 more years left to go, she had every right to do what she did. She ended up winning the case.
It all comes down to how much time you have. If the car shows significant number of problems; then I recommend doing that while there's time. You should see the link for my car. I think I've set the record in problems in my 03 max. lol i'll post the link
