okay, maybe a dumb question... but here goes.

does anyone know if there's a way to upgrade non-nav vcd (aka orange display) to nav (full color, navigation included)??

Yes, But I'm pretty sure you have to change the audio controller, upgrade to the bose everything and add an additional display controller and relevant wiring. All of stuff referred to above is from the factory, basically pull all of the stuff out of a nav equipped Max and put it in yours ($$$$$$$$$$$$)

 

I'm sure there's a way, just a matter of how much it'd cost - Too much would be my answer, from Nissan anyway - If I were you I'd look at non-Nissan navi systems...It'll cost less than getting the factory one from Nissan installed late, and you can get one that plays dvd's, has an integrated mp3 player and stuff.
