6th Gen Earns 'Best Pick' Designation By IIHS

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety just gave the 6th generation Maxima a 'best pick' designation based on frontal crash tests at 40MPH. (In the batch of tests, the Acura TL and TSX also earned the same rating.) The IIHS says the Maxima has come a long way especially considering that the '95 4th generation they tested back then earned a poor rating. Good stuff!

Peace.

01SE02SER - I heard the same report. And although the Maxima, TL and TSX all recieved the same rating category (best pick), the report clearly stated the Maxima performed best of all the cars in this test.

My wife was watching with me, and said something like 'Thats a much better reason to have one than the neat styling you like'.

I just smiled . . .
