Window tint & 3rd brake light ?'s

I'm getting my windows tinted with 30% stuff on Thursday and was wondering if anyone could post pics of their cars with similar tint on it or any other percentage just so I can get an idea.
I'm also wondering if those who do have tint had them pull the cover off the 3rd brake light so they wouldn't have to cut around it. Is it tough to pull that off? Should I even ask them to do it?

Thanks in advance for your help everyone ...

Don't have a pic handy, but my tint installer said the TBL popped right off with no trouble. I've seen a few 6th gens with the tint trimmed around the TBL, and trust me here, you don't want them to trim. It looks....wellll......hacked.

As a proud owner of a 2004 Maxima Elite which is my fourth Max SE model. I can say that solid one tint with the tbl pulled is the best look. This is the first that I can remember of the SE version that had a third brake light in the back glass. Mine always had the brake light in the rear spoiler and no inside brake light to deal with. My tint guy always uses the Lumar Tint which doesn't turn that ugly purple over the course of a couple of years and holds up really well. There is also a border on the top back glass that needs to be sanded down some for the tint to get a really nice smooth look also.

I don't know the regulations in your state but in jersey, you can't tint over the thrid brake light, so they cut around it and I didn't like it. There was a little line of light coming through and I hated it. Also they cut out for the light and left the tint cut all the way down to the window and you could see the rear deck carpeting. If I didn't have the frost interior I wouldn't of minded, but it stuck out like a sore thumb. So they placed vinyl on the outside to cover it up and it all went to sh*t. So it's getting retinted, as one sheet and no cut out for the brake light. Don't care if its illegal, i have till 2008 to have it inspected and doubt I'll be keeping her for that long. I have 35% up front and 20% the rest of the car. Click on my webpage to view the tint job.

Thanks guys. . . I'll make sure to ask them to pull that cover. I don't know if it's illegal here or not but I don't really care. That should be an easy fix if it is, no defroster or antenna lines there, just cut it out... I'll be sure to post some pics when it's done!
