They should fit. Contact Courtesyparts and ask them.

I received a reply from Courtesy Nissan last night and unfortunately they do not fit. Too bad they would look good. I had then in my 03 and it really dressed it up.

They will fit with a little effort. I installed them on my 04 and they rock, really dress it up. Go ahead and order them. The gas pedal will need to be screwed over the top of the existing one because of the drive by wire assembly.

Pics of AE pedals on 04

If someone will shoot me an email address I'll shoot you a pic. I haven't quite figured out how to post pics yet.

www.courtesyparts.com They are off the anniversary edition. The gas pedal came off the 350Z page, you only need the pedal, not the whole assembly.

They are easy to install. The clutch and brake pedal just pull over the pedal and the gas pedal was just drilled on top of the existing pedal. The clutch and brake take a little effort to get them on, but they will fit.

To add to this thread.... I just installed a dead pedal on my Max.

I ordered the 350Z dead pedal from JR Nissan ($25? maybe) and chopped it down with a small hacksaw and a dremel tool. It took me all of an hour to trim it down to size. Now all I have to do is to drill it into its final location. I can't claim the mod as my own, someone else has done it before.

I'd post a pic, but I can't seem to attach it. If someone wants to post/host it for me I'll email it to ya.

About the gas pedal install....how hard was it to drill the pedal? Did it have to come out of the car or did you do it in place? Will just a cordless drill work?

I think just the dead pedal looks great, and I bet getting the other three done in my car would be totally sweet.

mfaile...Can you elaborate about the install process for the pedals?

And the gas pedal..it looks like is has no little grippy pegs in the holes (like the AE dead pedal, brake and clutch pedals do) ...does your foot tend to slide off it?

Anyone else can chime in here too if you've installed them before.

I had these on my 03 Max. My foot had never slipped off the gas pedals and you're right that it does not have little grippies.

I used a little flat screwdriver to lift the rubber over the metal piece of the pedals from behind.

Pretty easy stuff and very nice looking.

Hmm then I should order the gas pedal tomorrow too. Since you're a fellow Canadian your experience includes snow and icey conditions in the winter.

Thanks!

I got the brake pedal on now what screws did you use to attach the gas pedal? Did you just drill the hole a little small and screw them into the steel or how do you keep them from falling out?

Thanks for answering these simple questions!

gas pedal screws

I drilled small holes into the plastic and used 2 wood screws to hold it on. Look close at the picture and you should see them. I used a black sharpie to color the heads to keep them from showing through. Hope this helps.

You can always try some automotive screws that are coated black already. They usually have them at good auto parts places. That way you don't have to worry about the black wearing off. Or using a stainless steel screw makes sense too. So it won't rust from water off your shoes.

One more question, I bought the gas pedal but it has some stuff on the back side of it to connect it to a pedal arm of sorts. So when I try to attach it on top of my plastic gas pedal it does not lie flat, its about 1/2 inch off the pedal. How do you address this problem?

Thanks!

Use a pair of pliers to break off the metal so it will lay down flat. A little bending and twisting will break it off evenly. If that doesn't work, just use a dremel tool to cut it off flush. The twisting worked well on mine. Good luck, you'll like the end result.

Ok how the hell do those pedal covers go on??? I got them to fit mostly. I can't seem to get the bottom two corners inside. Damn it's a freakin tight fit. Maybe once the car sits in the sun and it gets up to 160 degrees inside they'll be easier to work with. Hopefully. Still haven't done the gas pedal. Left the dremel out at the cottage. It doesn't seem like too much work to trim the metal on the backside down so its flush and can be screwed into the existing pedal with some nice black automotive screws.

Bob, I ordered them all from a local dealership. Part numbers are:

46531-AB000 "Pad" $36.10 list (both clutch and brake are the same)

18016-AB010 "Pedal" $50.71 list

It really wasn't worth all the hassle to get them sent up. I could have saved $20-30 ordering it from the US I suppose. Ask the dealership where you bought your car, they should be willing to give you a discount on parts orders since you're a returning customer. Can't hurt to ask. I get a bit of a discount since I've bought lots of stuff from them so far.

Did you try putting the screwdriver in where the pedal is on and sliding it across to get the corners on ? Some people have had success soaking them in hot water to soften them up first.

BTW...tks for the info.

Hey hot water is a great idea!
.
..
...

Just went out and tried it. Worked like a charm. I also gave the bottom two corners of each cover a small cut at 45 degrees in the corner to allow the bottom edge to come freely around the bottom of the pedal.

Thanks Bob.
