Front Cover Mask

Has anyone here purchased a front cover mask for there 04 Maxima? If so, any recomendations? I do alot of traveling and get kind of tired of wiping all the bugs off the front of the max. By the way, the Max gets pretty good gas mileage as well. Averaging about 24-29 MPG.

Just purchased one for my '04 Max a little over a week ago...so far so good. Decided after what bugs and rocks had done to my '97 Max and what they're currently doing to my '02 Altima, that I'd protect this investment a little better. Spent about $90 at my dealership.

Well, IMO, I don't like the way the new bra looks for the 6th Gen. BUT, I have to be practical because if I plan on putting it on the road any time soon, I definitely want the protection from bugs, rocks, etc... Luckily, I have a black MAX, so the bra won't stand out too much. But I definitely plan on purchasing one in the near future -- more for practical reasons than cosmetic appeal.

Street name is called 3M ClearBra, baby!

all frontal protection including bumpers, lights, side mirrors, hood, quarter panel, and REAR bumper. Installed for 75,000 pennies and no regrets at all.

THAT'S PRETTY STEEP as compared to a regular Nissan bra for 9900 pennies! Also, I thought I read on another post somewhere that they (3m clearbra) could be bought for $350 or something like that?

Just the upper & lower bumper kit costs you $329.95 NOT including labor. One of the sites I used is XPEL.com

The 3M clear bra is the way to go. I've got it on mine and will never go without one again. You're always protected and you don't have to worry about taking the normal bra on and off. Also, have you ever looked under a regular bra after a few thousand miles? Super rub marks, bad news...

I got a regular OEM bra for mine from JR Nissan for $80+shipping if I recall.

I only use it for long highway trips. I figure its a good compromise in terms of cost vs. utility. It protects the front bumper during the times its most likely to get damaged from rocks, and costs a heck of a lot less than the 3M stuff.

Now...if money was no object...I'd have the 3M installed. Its a fantastic product! Its just the cost, for me at least, is prohibitive. I'd rather get the bumper repainted in a couple years actually, I'd like to get rid of that black lower grill and have it painted body colour while they're painting the front end.
