Custom Pedal Installation

Does anyone have any experience installing custom pedals? Here's my problem: I've already installed the dead pedal, clutch and brake, but the drive by wire assembly on the accelerator pedal is unlike anything I've seen. The hard ware that comes with my pedal are some metal braces that go across under the pedal to keep it in place. However, the plastic under the actual pedal is way too high, so the screws that came with my Momo pedal isn't long enough. I'm thinking of drilling across the plastic under the pedal to install my hardware. Will this be ok? Any help would be appreciated.

Edify - lemme know how it works out for you cause I just bought some custom pedals and have been holding off on the install because of the gas pedal problem. Best of luck to ya!

Jiujitsu, the install went well, though I did have to drill across the bottom "wall" of the gas pedal to install the hardware. I've got pics on page 3 of my Cardomain. Let me knowif there's anything I can do to help. I used a 1/2" drill bit to accomodate my hardware, but I'm not sure if you'll need one as big. Make sure to drill on the thin side of the wall, if you reach behind and feel the side facing the center console, you'll notice that there's plastic beams on the other side. It's damn near impossible to drill through these, so make sure to drill around it. I checked your Cardomain, but I couldn't figure out if you're automatic or manual. If you have a clutch pedal, also make sure your screws don't protrude outward too much. When you usee your clutch, the bottom of the screws will start to wear out the carpet under the clutch pedal. I'll post some other pics of the pedal install later tonight or sometime tomorrow so you can get a better look at the install. Gotta go and install my Music Keg now. hope this helps.

Jiujitsu, I updated my cardomain. The new pic will give you a better idea of what I did. If you notice on the close-up pic, the drilled hole on the right is not as clean as the one on the left. That's because I hit one of the plastic support thingies on the other side and I had to re-drill.

Sweet! Gonna check out your cardomain site and look at the whole install. I have the 5spd auto and am hoping to make this as painless as possible. Get back to you after I get chance to check out your upgrade. Thanks for the help brother!

Edify - The Momo's look SICK! Good job on what looks like a tough install. It gives me a good idea on how to attack mine. I will get back with pics after Ii finish the install. Might be a few weeks cause I have to head out to St. Louis for business Thanks again for the help with the pedals.

Those momos do look sweet. Since we are on opposite coasts I don't think you'll mind if I copy the install?
