Where the heck are the shocks

I took my eibachs off because I blew the two fronts in like 3 weeks. I am not putting them back on until some kind of shock comes out. You guys have any clue when they will come out?

I feel ya bro, Im ready for some aftermarkets. My ride is still smooth but the shocks are slightly blown I think. They can hold up a while longer though.

What does blown shock mean? Are the pistons hanging out the sides or do they just stop dampening?

Well mine were bottoming out.. Passenger side especially.. I wish someone would come out with a shock soon.. I called various manufacturers and none of them have a date when they will be made.

damn, only 3 weeks. I remember posting before saying that stock shocks can't handle a drop, but I also dropped the b*tch and to my best knowledge the car is still doing alright. But I'm real skeptable now knowing this and putting 20's on. I believe that my ****z are gonna blow definetly within the next month or so. Hope they have something by the end of summer.

well to you make you feel a little better I think my passenger side strut was bad to begin with.. Now I have a fresh set of struts in the car and I am itching to put the eibachs back on. This is the longest I have ever had a car without lowering. I always told myself I will do it right and get the shocks with the springs, I went against my gut and got ****ed... Now I am definitely waiting for the shocks.

What exactly do you feel? Is it mainly bottoming out or just overall loss of stiffness in the ride?? I think I'm OK still, I haven't noticed any change in the ride since I put my springs on in November, working on 9000 miles while lowered, hope they hold out!!!

I was mainly bottoming out and there was a lot of noise coming from my shocks. When I took the shocks off the driver side seemed ok but the dampening decreased. The passenger side on the other hand was totally shot.. I may have just had some bad luck... I also didn't really like the way it drove, I felt like I was all over the road. Living in New Jersey is no help either. When the new shocks come out I'll be rolling on the eibachs again. Sucks because its holding me back from getting wheels because I will not put wheels until im lowered. I am going to get those new axis wheels.

Hope you're not getting the axis mod sevens cause I just placed my order for them about an hour ago.

Stillen had their Eibach springs listed with a specific type of strut that was recommended during the spring mod. I just checked and now that is no longer in the description. You might want to shoot them an email about it. Its either 1) they recommended the wrong strut or 2) they don't sell the product and didn't want to recommend it.
