Straightening bent grill

I have an aftermarket Stillen racing grill on my '04 Max. It is the one with the horizontal strips of aluminum.

One of the strips got bent somehow. (I think it was the dealer when they changed my oil, but I can't prove it).

My questions is, is there an easy way that I can straighten it myself without having to shell out money to an autobody shop. Anyone done this before?

thanks

I had mine slightly bend on one end as well. It was on one of the top ones. Anyway just noticed it last week. It's aluminum and fairly easy to bend back into shape. I did it by hand in the parking lot at work and it looks perfect. Maybe a little ghetto, but hey, saved me a trip getting it fixed.

Actually, I install a lot of billet grills and in the instructions it tells you to do exactly what you did. Just bend it back by hand and that's it. Most grills come bent from shipping, so I just bend it back to where it looks straight.

Thanks All,

I was able to use a screwdriver with a piece of shop rag wrapped around the end to pry it back into shape.

Good as new. It is going back to the dealer this weekend to be detailed. I am taking a picture of the front grill before bringing it over there.

thanks agaiin
