Nose Mask

3M is out of the question because the paint isnt perfect anymore...

I want to save what I have left, my car is deteriorating like the damn mona lisa.
2 months on the highway and i feel like my whip has been through the desert storm war.

anyways, does anyone have experience with nose masks? Im thinking of getting one and throwing it on for m-f while i do highway driving, taking off when it rains. does anybody know if they are that easy to take on or off or is more of a pain in the A** and end up being something I will never want to take off?

Anybody kind enough to post pics of the installs and how they mount on?

thanks

The part that fits on the leading edge of the hood is really easy to take on and off. There are two small hooks on center the underside of the bra, that clip into holes on the hood. On the edges of the underside there are two straps with hooks that attache further back on the hood. Total time to take on and off...2 minutes.

However the lower bra is a little more work. There are numerous clips and whatnot that must be attached. Count on about 5 minutes to get it on or off.

JR Nissan had the bra (which includes both pieces) for about $80US. Which is where I bought mine.

I call it a bro or a manzier.

Hmm only on highway trips. I find that even though it fits well it does flap a bit at high speeds. Probably around 90+ it tends to flap a bit. When you get up over 105 or so you can feel it. I'd say it is a speed limiter for me, so I don't like it. lol

It will mark the hood at the edges where it moves the most. They always buff right out. Be sure to put down a few coats of wax at the edges to give the paint a better buffer.

I have the nissan one, pretty easy to take off/put on. I will definitely second the opinion about the coat of wax.

I also have the LeBra one from ebay that I accidentally won for $20.... New, still in the box. Looks almost exactly like the Nissan one but it doesn't have the 2 wheelwell snaps. All clips and tucks.

I use it all the time (lots of beach sand on the roads here) because I don't much appreciate the front of my car looking like moon craters.

Thanks for the reply.
Are you willing to sell that LeBra mask from Ebay? If so, shoot me a PM. Thanks!

I'll be very thankful if someone post some pics of a red 6th gen w/ installed nose mask... I found just one pic..., but i'm not sure what kind of mask is that one

I can tell you for the 07, that's neither the LeBra nor the Nissan bra top half. If it is, its definitely different than the 07 models. Neither have the 2 triangular "air pressure pads" on the top, both have a "lip" instead.

Here's a photo of the Nissan mask on my 07. Not red tho... lol

Oh i didn't notice that you have the 07'... The front end is absolutely different of course, but maybe the upper part of the mask would fit both both models.. Doesn't matter
Otherwise, thx for the info and sharing...! Your Max is hot! ;]

C'mon guys, please post some pix of your 04-06 Maximas with a nose mask. That would help me choosing the coolest bra... Thank you!

If you are going to buy a nose mask, do what chernmax suggested I do. Look at Colgan Custom. They make full, partial, and side mirror masks. The product is spectacular and comes in regular black leather or carbon fiber finish. I can vouch for chern's suggestion and that the product is made of a strong sturdy material. It will not warp/fade on you.

I used it on my recent trip to Canada. It was covered with bugs and debris but not a single chip or bit of dirt on my clean hood/bumper. The side mirror covers are an essential piece to complete the system. Check it out. It may be a bit more money than whats on ebay but its a sound investment for your car.

I am pretty sure autoanything will ship internationally. Colgan produces the product and overnights it to autoanything. Be warned though for a colgan custom nose mask, it will take minimum 1.5 weeks to make. Where are you located?

Finally i sent an email to AutoAnything if they know by chance what kind of type/brand is the mask posted above(red Max). Also asked if the would ship it to Czech rep., where i'm located in... So i'll have to wait. :I

I'm ready to send 10 Czech beers if someone answer my question about the mask
Greetings

That looks like the hood mask part of my colgan custom nose mask kit. It could be an imitation though but that is the same design I have.
