It's actually made by Clarion, but I believe Nissan pretty much proprietorized their SAT tuner part by offering an install "kit" that you have to order through them to enjoy SAT radio thru their OEM stereo. Clarion actually manufactures the tuner for Nissan exclusively for the MAX (and other Nissan models). I believe there was a thorough thread on this subject on the FreshAlloy.com website. They broke it down to all the electronics tweaking that may be involved w/ utilizing a similar model produced by Clarion that one just may be able to use w/ the MAX's stock SAT radio capability. Unfortunately, I don't remember the thread to point you in the right direction. Maybe some of the other members can recall what I'm talking about and elaborate...

I found exactly what I needed on FreshAlloy! The unit is indeed made by Clarion, but a Clarion retail unit appears to NOT be a direct swap. However, I did learn that my vehicle is pre-wired. All that I need is the receiver, antenna, and service.
THANKS!
THANKS!
