Come on, man! Everyone knows that smoking is so over-rated! Anyway, I kind of like the idea that Nissan "dis"-cluded the ashtray. It's a cleaner look and I don't have to worry about any passengers even THINKING about smoking in my ride. But, for all you who still have that nasty taste in your mouth, I do believe Nissan sells an "ashtray kit" separately in their parts dept...not 100% sure about that though...

Today's paper contains an announcement from the Surgeon General's office that a recent comprehensive medical study has now tied twenty-eight (28!) major medical problems/illnesses/diseases to smoking.

Adults have been getting the message for years, and have cut back steadily on their smoking. But is seems young folks feel bulletproof, and the percentage of young folks smoking has actually risen.

I find this very sad, as I have been 'priviledged' to see many friends and relatives die slow, agonizing, horribly painful deaths from smoking-related diseases such as lung cancer and mouth cancer.

But try to tell a young person ANYTHING. Wasted breath.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so thankful the ashtrays have been removed from the Maxima.

Nothing that could be construed as supporting smoking in any form or fashion has any business in an automobile. Even if it means I have to continue picking up the hundreds of butts nasty, trashy smokers throw on my front lawn each week.

Bravo Light. I was foolish enough to smoke for years, but thankfully quit eight years ago. I'm amazed with how many of my young employees smoke despite all the publicity on the topic. I'm glad my Max doesn't have a butt tray.
