injen or frankencar??

Guys,
Im going to buy an intake kit, but im stuck between the injen cai, or frankencar
whats makin me think about it is the price difference and if i understand correctly the injen has to be installed by removing the bumper,
can everyone give me thier opionions and just point me to the best direction.
thanks

It took me about an hour to install the Injen CAI. You do not have to touch the bumper. Just follow the instructions.

apparently the frankencar needs a ghetto setup so it doesn't move around, the injen has all the right hardware so it sits nice and snug.

Frankencar's customer service is terrible! They charged my CC and never bothered to return any of my inquiries on an ETA for the intake. I did get my money refunded by my CC company. As mentioned, you have to fabricate a bracket for that unit anyway. Stick with the Injen. I went through southwest autoworks. http://store.yahoo.com/southwestauto...ore/index.html.

Good luck.

Does the Injen cai affect the sensors? or is there a way to bypass that?

Thanks in advance.

I installed the frankencar last week, easy install, only problem was I had to buy a little tubing, about 95 cents later everything was perfect. It does fit nice and snug, doesn't move at all in my car, that needing the backet must have been for an earlier prototype or something b/c I remember reading about that a few months back, but those issues seem to all be fixed now fits very well in my 04 maxima SL and you can now hear a little growl from motor along with a little better pickup after the upgrade!

Franken Intake

I can't remember who requested it but here is the clip for the franken car intake on my 04 maxima SL. This really doesn't do it justice but it was the best I could do on short notice....
