What a douche. He says he would have beaten it if the dang truck didnt get in its way . Even with a full exhaust and intake, he still couldnt touch the thing.

Even tho it says it was heavily modded, i'd still take the max over a civic any day. More practical for my use. Every one has their own opinions and the car isn't right for everyone, but its right for me.

I had to laugh at the poor boob.

With a hopped-up hot rod which has half the room and comfort of the '04 Maxima, he couldn't pass a stock SL with automatic transmission.

I laughed so hard I woke my wife up.

But this is probably the sort of thread the mods don't like (racing different make cars). It will probably get locked, and I wouldn't blame them.

But that surely was a funny thread.

Not me, they just don't do it for me. I however do enjoy the view of a Honda in my rearview.

That civic-dork is full of sh@t. My girl use to have a '92 and it was the biggest POS on the planet. I don't care what he does to that four banger, he can't hang with the max...

Dontcha just love these guys who buy a $2000 car and add $5000 worth of mods - including the manditory Borla? Don'tget me wrong I'm all for a sweet exhaust note, but my tastes lean more to a big block V8 running through headers and a Dynamax than a gas powered can opener.

<<Overheard at a car tint/wheels shop getting a quote on tint for my Max>>

Customer: What are the biggest wheels I can put on a Kia Sephia?
Sales guy: Ummmm.... 16 inch

Reminds of a line from a stand-up comic, "you can slap on all the paint you want, the house still needs renovations"

You can add $10,000 worth of mods to your little two-seater, but it'll still be a Civic. Seems like it'd be a better use of your money to invest that money in a nicer car to start with, so instead of getting snickers and chuckles when you drive by, you get envious stares.

Saw some turbo kits that claimed to give civics 320hp. I don't know, i can definatly take a civic, but i "raced" one recently and it actually took me from the start becuase i spun out a little launching on a wet road, but i quickly made my max proud. Hate these rs-a's.

That thread was funny.

But Shift, have you ever heard a Borla catback on a Camaro?? If you haven't you are in for a rude awakening. Thing sounds so mean!!!! Think of flowmasters, only 100 times better. When it comes to domestic exhaust work Borla is the only way to go

Can't say I have - in fact I always thought of Borla as an import-only aftermarket product - and then only for 4 cylinder toys.

More of a Mopar fan myself. My friend had (has?) a 69 Road Runner HEMI at first running thru DynaMax's, then he switched over to FlowMasters. I had a 440 Cuda - Hedmans into FlowMasters. The sound of us running side-by side at WOT had a viagra-like effect...

Obviously, the Honda guy was on something!!! He got all happy because he caught up to him? WOW!!! What a feat! He caught up to the MAX. Guess if I was driving a Honda, I'd be pretty excited I caught up to a powerhouse such as the MAX. lol Apparently, the person driving the MAX didn't really push it like he probably could have. He says that he "heard him downshift and take off a little"... Key words, "a little"... Dude spared him the embarrassment. But I pretty much do the same thing. I toy around w/ little guys like that who think their little Hondas are so dope! I choose not to waste the time. It's all about having the confidence that the power is there...not to abuse or waste it on little fellas like that! lol

Not all of 'em. A few weekends ago, a guy showed up in my parents town with a Civic HB and ten large in his pocket and offered to race anyone. I had nothing to do with it because something told me the only Civic parts on that car were the wiper blades... That and, I'm not a racer...I just watch I found out the next weekend that it was an 8 second car.

that civic guy is a moron. if you read the entire thread you will notice how he realizes that the SL comes in auto only and that he heard the driver "downshift" (open mouth and insert foot ) the guy in the max probably didnt want to waste a gallon of 93 grade gasoline at $2.40 on the ricer.
