That is to say, that it's just like your computer keyboard with just a few wires controlling all the keys. There is no "enter" wire in the harness. To affect this mod, you have to first pull the keyboard and attach (I just tack-soldered to the board) a set of wires across the "enter" key switch contacts. Then, you have to build a circuit that waits 10 seconds after you start the car (to allow the nav to boot up) and then close a relay across those two wires from above for one second (simulating pushing the enter key). This mod works like a charm, and I've done it on both our Armada and the Max. For those of you who can read schematics, here is the circuit that I used:

Scroll down to "generating a delayed pulse using the 555 timer". The only changes you have to make is adding another small relay to the trigger part of the circuit that closes when it sees ACC power and changing the 22uf cap on stage one to a 220uf to make the first pulse 10 seconds. All the parts are available at your local RadioShack. The circuit itself must be on constant power (only draws about 5 milliamps at idle).
For those of you who are NOT able to read a schematic (since I know this question is coming)- after considering it for a few months, I've decided not to go into mass production for a few reasons:
1) Liability- I really don't want to get sued when one of you runs into a tree because you weren't "warned".
2) Technical install- even if I made the box for you, you'd still have to remove your center stack and do some soldering on the nav keyboard.
3) Time- I work 6 days a week and really don't have much spare time.
There it is folks! If anyone has any questions, I'd be glad to answer them.
Well I'm impressed. But I have a question. Do you know how to make a RCA connector that will attach to the back of the 6 CD/tape deck that has a satellite receiver connected.
I always thought that it would not be that difficult to create a connector that would tie everything together.
I'd pay for that.

Supposedly, Blitzsafe (www.blitzsafe.com) has or will have shortly a line-in adapter for the Bose factory system. That being said, I will look at the FSM and see what I can come up with. Not sure how plug-n-play I could make it since those connectors are kinda hard to find, but it shouldn't be more than a 3 wire spice job at worst.
