HID Upgrade
HID Upgrade
Unfortuently i didnt get HID's with my car, and i already found out that te price to upgrade with nissan parts is well over a grand. I noticed Custom Enterprises aka custommaxima, changed its sight and they have these listed under our year:
HID's
Any one know anything about these? Quality, which matches closest to stock. I like the blue, but i wasnt sure on the legalality of them. Of course they dont have the 04 as a listing in the link even tho as mentioned it was listed when i clicked on 2004 products.
The price is less then 600 which is a lot better then 850 per. So any one know anything that may help??

First off, you should be able to do it as long as the bulb has the same dimensions as stock. You'll also have to pull your bumper off to get to the back of the lights if they're set up the same as my HIDs, so it'll take a little extra work in addition to hooking up the ballast. Secondly, well, just look at this link for me -

I know this isn't a Max but same principle - a HID kit in stock halogen projectors. The cutoff and look is pretty good, but the 'blue' or 6000K bulbs suck a**. They have a lower output than his halogens so I'd say 'what's the point?!' . Anyways, if you're thinking the bulb color temperature is what gives BMWs and Maximas that blue color as you pass them, well, that's not the case. All cars that come stock with HIDs have 4100K bulbs because it is the closest color to daylight and they also have the brightest output. The shield which creates the cutoff in the projector is what gives it the blue hue in some spots. Here's a picture of my lights -

So, it's worth a shot, check with that site to be sure everything will fit and if you're gonna spend that money I would defnitely go with the lowest temp bulbs which look like those 5000K, you'll enjoy them much more in the long run...
