I have found a very useful final polishing/waxing step to go over the finish with a fairly damp soft cloth. The water removes any streaks and evens out the job nicely. BTW, I use Turtle wax liquid green polish, followed by Nu-finish--very cheap and seems to work well. Why buy more expensive stuff if it's unnecessary?
