The Anniversary Pedals Fit

I added these to my 04SEelite - let me know what you all think - took some work - cutting and such - but they do fit!

If you want to see additional pics you can check them out here!

Thanks to SilverBelle04, Chrisaust, and my friend Doug R. for helping with the aluminum work - Doug is a master at aluminum and metal work and it made the accelerator pedal install a snap!

The throttle pedal is a bit of work. I took a dremel and trimmed the bits on the back side until it was flush. Then I just mounted mine to the plastic throttle pedal with a couple screws. Took me maybe 30 minutes to do it.

The darn brake and clutch covers took longer than that. What a pain they were to get on. Someone (may have been you Bob) suggested soaking them in hot water prior to installing, and that did the trick.

Bob - the Accelerator Pedal takes some work...

The pedal has aluminum tabs and a place for a rod to fit the original 2002 pre-DBW assembly that our cars have - Doug ground those off for me, then bead blasted the back of the pedal. We adhered the new pedal to the original pedal with industrial strength double-faced tape that is rated for hot (100 degree F plus) and cold (-20 degree F) temps. Figured that way it was less likely to fall off in the middle of the winter. Also, the tape is rated to stick to imperfect surfaces like concrete and other textured materials. I also applied some 23mil clear plastic (from Griot's Garage) to the bottom of the pedal face (you can barely see it in the photo) to keep from scratching the pedal with the bottom of my shoe (since this is the greatest area of contact). We'll see how well it works. I did not want any screws to show and there is really no other way to mount this pedal to the car. The pedal is the perfect size though to cover the original pedal. Just needs to be modified to mount it safely.

The dead pedal is also mounted with the same tape to the rubber pad that our cars have. Again, I did not want to screw into the body of the car to mount it, and you do have to cut the bottom of the pedal assembly that you get from Nissan (this is a Z-Car Pedal) on a band saw to get it all to be the same thickness. Otherwise, no problem. Perfect Fit!

They look great. Did you buy them individually or in set. There is a dealer in my area that sells them for $65.00 for a set for 03'+ 350Z. The one I got right now is kind of cheap.

Ron - i really like the Nissan AE pedals.
I had installed the AE pedals on my 03 Maxima and really like the stock look of them. On the 03 the gas pedal fit right onto the arm with a small modification.

For my 04 Max, i decided to try Ichibahn pedals.

Here's a pic:

I think that these look nice but they lack that stock look that yours have. I'm probably going to go back to the Nissan AE pedals after seeing yours. pls let me know how the gas pedal holds up after a while.

Tks Bob

I bought them seperately as that's how the dealer helped me get them from Nissan. The Brake pedal is from a 2002 Anniversary Edition Max, and the Accelerator and Dead Pedal are from a 2002 Z-Car. The Acccelerator Pedal is the same one as in the 2002 AE Max but now is crossed referenced to the Z-Car Pedal. The Dealer did not think that the AE Max had a dead pedal (at least he did not show one for the car in the parts list) so I ordered one from the Z and modified it to work.

Parts Numbers that I ordered are:

Pedal - Accel / 18016-AB010
Pedal Cover Pad Brake / 46531-AB010
Footrest Assy / 67840-CD013

Total Cost including freight and tax was around $60

If you want to order them from my dealer PM me and I will send you the information on who to call. Thanks for the positive comments!

Will do - am hoping that the pressure of feet on the pedals and the industrial strength Dbl Faced Tape will do the job - if not, it may be a maintenance thing where you have to remount them from time to time - oh, well, nothing better to do - right??

i used doubled sided carpet tape with the ichibahn pedals and it's held up fine. They havn't moved at all and feel very sturdy. It's been about 4-6 weeks or so.

Those look great! I always wondered if they fit or not and now I know theres a lil work to be done. Now if someone would come out with a brushed aluminum dash kit to replace all the crap plastic in my car then I would be very pleased with my interior.
