So i've finally decided to purchase the stillen kit and make it my summer project. I had been looking and asking for prices on the kit itself as well as install and paint. I found it cheapest on Southwest auto works, plus no shipping charged. Next i'm looking for a place to paint and instal. A friend of mine owns a shop, he said he could do it for a grand. Thats more then th kit. I know its not cheap for paint and what not, but is that about right? Wanted to get some input on this from anyone that has the kit now or has any experience with body kits, this will be my first. Thanks in advance.

 

That sounds about right for paint and install, when I was looking into getting the kit I went to various bodyshops and it ranged from 800 to 1300 bucks. The cheapest way is know someone that does it. Plus after looking at the kit, I talked myself out of it because of the front lip and it costing more to install then the product is worth. I personally don't like it. Painted the black sh#t in the front and I'm happier with that then with having the kit.

 

At first i didnt like this, but once i saw other examples of it, and saw it in person i liked it. It just took time to grow on me. I just want something different but not to extravagant. Now that i'm looking on spending close to 2 grand in total, i may have to rethink my decsion again. At least i know i won't be getting it installed anytime soon, not quite budgeted for that yet.

 

i stopped by stillen today to pick up my rear sway bar and saw the stillen max. imo, i think the kit looks better in white or black max.
