Canada & US 6th Gen

I know a couple of you org members are from canada. question is for you guys. do you know if there is an extra wire harness for the daytime driving lights. seeing my car is in the shop right now i cant check but is there a spot on the US headlight for a bulb if not a harness for a bulb?

curious to see what that looks like lit up at night with a hyper white bulb or even maybe putting a set of HID's in that part of the housing.

thanks for the space!

Obviously there is a harness for the DRL's in the Canadian vehicles. The real question is, on the US vehicles is there an unused harness, or location to plug a small extention harness from the DRL location into the main lighting harness.

Help me out ****. i knew i would get a response from either you or bob.
can you take a picture of what it looks like at night with that spot lit up?.

i checked my headlight housing at the dealer. went there tonight. its got a spot thats covered for a light. now its time to find a harness or some unused wires. maybe relay them into the parking lights. or fog lights.

Okay - my wife has my digital camera in her car and is gone shopping. She should be back around 5. I'll take pics with the DRLs on during the daylight for you when she gets back and post them.

It looks like the wires to the DRL are part of the harness that goes to the Foglights first, then on to the DRL's. I tried to find the main connector for them, but the wiring bundle trails back to a point, and then I can't see where it goes from there. Its sure a tight fit in there.

I'd think that taking the bumper off, removing the housings entirely, and working with some room would be the best option if you're going to get in there and do it up right. Don't ask me about bumper removal, cause I have no clue.

I do have a pic of the wiring loom from the Fog to DRL, so you can take a look a the wiring colours. I'll send it on later tonight after I get home.

CM.

That car is too clean. Take it out of the garage at least, and get it dirty.

The Canadian Max's came with more features standard than the US versions. HLSD standard with the 6sp. Bose stereo standard too. I forget what else.

I Will Do This Drl Conversion On This Us Max. I Think It Would Stand Out On The Max Around Here. Definitly Be Different. I May Do A Led For A Nice Dim City Light Look. Or Maybe Go With Something Else. Not Sure. Gotta Check Out An Idea For Wireing

Wire a couple LED's in parallel with the parking light. Then at night, with the fog loights on, the whole light assembly will be lit up like an x-mas tree!!!

Of course there are usually laws regarding red lights on vehicles, especially facing forwards.

I think but im not sure... i maybe putting the fogs and my ghetto DRL's on a seperare switch. i dont want to hack the harness too much to make this happen. i like clean installs. like my hardwired passport 8500 x50 blue with smart hardwire kit

if someone can show me how to post a picture in here. ill post some of my hardwire job.

You need to upload the pics to an internet website. al lot of people use cardomain.

Once the pics is posted on the net somewhere you can link to it in a post by doing this:

Remove all spaces in the above submit your post and the pics will appear.

I wonder if you can change the fogs to XENON?

I have the Trenz grille without the Nissan Logo....Lot's and Lot's of Compliments. Stainless Steel with Chrome. Way better than that plastic crap that comes with the car.
