PEOPLE TURN THEIR HEADS
I love my 2004 SE with Elite Package. This car is a real head turner. I love the low maintenance factor. I love the way it smells. I love the way it drives. I love that I will never have more than 4 people seated in this car. This car has lines that will always be stylish. This car looks good!. I would add a photo but I am new and I don't know how.

Have to say the room is great .. Im a tall guy and really appreciate the spacious leg room and overall comfort when Im driving..
I find that the factory audio system is pretty sweet too.. The ride is definitely a head turner on its own
No complaints here!

what I like about MY maxima :)
i have a silver 05 maxima and i put accessories on it like chrome door handles, pillar post covers, mirror covers, and tail light bezels (and i still want to get the chrome window sill trim) for a very good price and i was very happy with what i got, it was easy to install with no drilling, VERY good quality, and the best part was it looked great and it makes my maxima look so much better! if you guys ever want to mod up your maxima, go to www.sportwing.com.
oh and question, does anyone know if it has an mp3 port anywhere? i hear sometimes they're elsewhere than the dash. thanks!

I have a 2009 Gen 7 and I echo most of what's been said before.
And,
I love the way it makes me smile every time I look at it.
I love the way it makes me look forward to going to work in the morning, and returning at night. It has improved my entire outlook on life.
As an engineer, I love the over all simplicity and elegance of the design.
I love the fact that when I get in the car it's like putting on an old pair of well broken in jeans (like that pair you wife keeps wanting to throw out). The ergonomic model Nissan uses fits my style. When everything is adjusted the steering wheel is in the right place, the gas/brake pedals are in the right place, the shifter falls under my hand. I don't have to compromise my body to suit the car, the car just fits well. This is my second Max and my third Nissan (also a Frontier pickup) and they are/were all that way. Good ergonomic design makes the car a wonderful ride during long road trips. I test drove a Porsche Boxter and the ergonomics were just all wrong and I wasn't willing to make the compromises that car would have demanded.
I like the amber displays ... not the amber color so much as the fact that I can see/read the simple and large fonts easily without having to dig out my bifocal glasses while driving (bifocals, the bane of advancing age!). And, I like the simplicity of the dash. Everything I need is there but not a bunch of extra bell/buttons/whistles, unlike my wife's 2009 Ford Fusion.
My '97 Gen 4 ran 12 years and 200,000 miles and was still a beautiful car when I wrecked it. I'm hoping the Gen 7 will do the same..

The heated steering wheel is awesome in these New England winters.
Six Speed Manual... oh baby! I, too, love the quiet power. Let the Civics put noisemakers on the back of their car, I'll still toast them with a refined growl from the engine I love so much.
I love that even though I'm 6'1", tall people can sit behind me with plenty of room.
Dual Climate Control.... never again will I have to roast while the gf/sister/mother is freezing in the seat next to me.
Auto down windows from key fob... how cool is that?!
Love my Max. Love love love.

Quiet and stealthy fast
Automatic tilting steering wheel
My dark gray looks good and hides dirt amazingly well
The only negative is I wish they would raise the speed limit to 100 MPH. The car is so smooth and so quiet.

On top of all the car's features in the previous replies, I like the reliability of this car.
Almost 4 years and 74K miles of daily highway commuting and the car has never failed us. I expect it to go 125K or 150K before I replace it.
The reliability factor helpsed when I went out and bought a Rogue as my daily grocery grtter.

I have almost 8 years (Mid May) and 108 K miles. Nothing serious wrong with this car that ever needed fixing. The shocks and struts still work fine (expected to replace them at about 80 K, but they just keep going strong). The 6-speed is a real plus in this vehicle.
I plan to replace mine at about 200 K miles.

I have not driven her above about 90 MPH. Simple math says that if the VQ engine turns over 2K RPM at 55 MPH (like it does in my 6-speed), then if the VQ is truning over at red-line (6 K RPM) my Max should be going 165 MPH. That is theoretical. I suspect she should at least be able to get to about 150 MPH (which should be about 5.5 K RPMs in top gear).
The gearing on the 5-speed auto trannie is slightly higher, so if the VQ engine can provide the power to get to a top speed at red line, it should be going even faster than 165 MPH.
