Rock cracked my sunroof
......as a matter of fact right now Nissan is making a recall on '04 Maxima's because some of the skyview roof's have cracked out of nowhere so you might be able to get yours replaced by saying it was due to a defective skyview roof.

sad, but more than likely, you'll have to get insurance to handle it. Never hurt to try. Maybe if you act like it did the Skyview and just shattered while driving, closed of course. Can't hurt to at least ask dealer.
Darkhaze - You might want to go to the 6th gen front page and check the 6th gen TSBs at the top. The last TSB in the list is the Nissan skyview recall.
Essentially, Nissan began in September sending recall letters to owners of '04 Maximas with skyviews in the VIN # range 800000 to 875558. As these cars come in, the service tech checks the little characters and symbols etched into (IIRC) the left rear of the skyviewglass. That tells them whether the glass is from the batch that is subject to exploding/shattering.
Good luck.

If the glass involved was a skyroof, unless it was one which Nissan was going to replace anyway (qualified under the TSB), this is (as jaydabee said) an insurance issue.
If the glass involved is (as MaxedOutOfCash alertly suggests, and DarkHaze's post indicates) a power sunroof, then this is strictly an insurance issue.
This will be covered by the comprehensive portion of your insurance policy. If you have 'normal' (major company, such as State Farm/Allstate/etc) insurance, and have a good relationship with your agent, this should not count against your record or affect your premium cost, as you did nothing wrong.
