K&N Filter

Has anybody tried this for your Max ? I know it's just a filter but what does it improve anything to the car ??? Power or better airflow ?

If you are talking about a straight up replacement for the OEM filter the K&N won't do too much for you. Look into an intake kit from Berk (or more expensive aftermarket places) if you want performance gains.

I put an Air Hog in mine. It does breath better and I don't have the hesitation when I put it to the floor anymore.

I installed a K&N not too long after purchasing my MAX and I have to admit that there is no noticeable gain in power. Gas mileage is another issue though...can't really say I can calculate that since I've had it in since buying the car... But as far as increase in power...don't waste the money if that's what you're expecting of it...

got one sitting here to put in once it's time to replace factory one. just like not having to buy another one. any other benefits are an added bonus. money saver to me $40. just clean when necessary w/ kit I already had from last car.

K & N stock replacement air filters give you a little better airflow but I don't think you notice it too much. Though it will save you a ton over the long haul. As soon as I can find one for my 05 I am putting it in.

Would the gas mileage be another issue ??? I heard someone replaced to K&N air filter and in months later, he noticed that he's getting low gas mileage on his car ?
