So with the breaker bar hanging below the car you pulled toward the front in a counter clockwise turn to loosen?

Is there still a question?

Help me out here.

I posted pages of the factory manual detailing the removal installation/ instructions published by Nissan and it is still unclear?

Not everthing you read is true and accurate but I am going to assume the service manual is.

Yes, I did. I also stopped at my local Nissan dealer and asked the head tech which way it came off and he said the normal righty tightey lefty loosey. I even tried the bumping the starter technique to get the bolt loose but in the end the J hook method worked.

Yes it is. Do you have a strap or J hook or anything that you can use to hold the pulley in place like I did?

My gosh, we have different people who are 100% positive that they are correct saying 100% opposite things here.

Let me try this one more time. For those of you who have done this yourself, looking at the engine from the passenger side, did you loosen the bolt by:

A) Turning the wrench clockwise (you put a wrench on the bolt in the 6 oclock position...hanging down, and twisted toward to the 7 o'clock position)

or

B) Turning the wrench counter-clockwise (you put a wrench on the bolt in the 6 oclock position...hanging down, and twisted toward to the 5 o'clock position)

Thanks.

This is what I did 3-4 weeks ago.

And that is the correct answer.

For certain, my car is standard (lefty-loosey) thread. It just took an impact wrench to do it!

Are these belt sizes correct?

ALTERNATOR & A/C BELT:
GATES, Part# K060408
(41.5" or 1055mm) or
GATES, Part# K060410
(41" 5/8 or 1066mm)

POWER STEERING BELT:
GATES, Part# K040300
(30.75" or 780mm)
And are they the same for both swa and unorthodox pulleys?

I have the SWA and had to get the K060405 instead of the K060408. The K060410 worked just fine though.
