Max Navigation System Question?

Someone posted a thread about a way you can play DVD's on the Max Navigation system. Does anyone know how this is possible. I searched for the thread but couldn't find it.

I dont think so because normal car dvd players dont play navigation dvds and its safe to say that navigation systems cant play dvd movies. its a different format.

The DVD player for the nav. system will not play media other than those specifically formatted for the car - http://www.zenrin.com/home.asp?bodylink=navSoft.html

You have to get one of these to do what you're talking about -

Thanks Kmoney. Not sure if its worth splicing into the factory system and risk having problems and the dealer pointing towards the aftermarket unit as the culprit. They always always run that line to get out of making repairs under warrantee.

Thanks bro, yeah I knew that but I was questioning Anand.Patel about a NAVI working as a DVD player if you put the emergency brake on and no adapter...

Do other navigation DVDs work with the Max or are there ones specifically designed for the Max navi? I really prefer the Toyota nav to the Nissan nav.

Are you going to remove the factory screen and install the Pioneer? Just wondering...
