Raceline Y Pipe question

Raceline just added this product and I am wondering if anyone has bought it for their 6th gen. I've read the description and seen the dyno and I'm pretty much sold on it to do my 1st major mod on my car. Any thoughts, comments?

do they make headers for it also? headers are a big gainer for the vq35's i dont know what your future plans are but i would check into the availability of headers or future plans for producing headers. Or at least do some checking to see if they will work with another companies headers.

For $265 how can you go wrong though

Great company! This part has been in the talks for many months here on the .org

I dont think anyone can tell you if they like it or not, the link you listed says it wont ship till oct 6th ...

Taz is a great guy with some outstanding products... I have never heard anyone complain of his customer service or the quality of his parts..

He is on the org often so shoot him a PM... he's your best bet...

Also, you can read this thread and see what others say...

I have the cattman Y pipe and love it... but either will be a good choice

Bought mine today

I'm sure many others have already bought the y-pipe, but just give it a couple weeks and we'll be sure to get back to you with performance, feel, sound, etc. I just wanna see if it really gives 14HP on stock exhaust (my current setup and the tester Taz used). Eagerly waiting...

According to Raceline, the y pipe is compatible with Cattman headers. As for other brands, I don't know.

So my noob question is which part should I mod first, headers or y pipe?

y pipe... install takes around 20 mins... you can do it yourself...

headers takes 6-8 hours plus its like 800-900 for parts...

you do the math LOL

Just curious what kind of tools it takes to do this by myself/ with one or 2 friends? I was initially gonna take it to a local shop and have them do it, but if it's easy, that'd be fun. If there's a previous link that I missed, that'd be nice to see as well.

its super easy ... takes a jack and some stands and some arm strength.. those stock bolts are on tight esp if you live where it snows/ice ... all the salt really likes to grip those bolts!
